William F. Hilton Memorial Youth Scholarship Fund.
In 1983, The William F. Hilton Memorial Youth Scholarship Fund was begun at St. Peter’s. Interest from the funds were to be used for the scholarships. Since then, the funds have been moved into the investment account and are held by the church. At that time it was determined that an annual budget line for these funds will be determined by vestry.
The scholarship funds are for grade 12 and under for church sponsored youth conferences; private religious schools; pre-schools; summer camps, such as sports camps, scout camps, church camps; or similar youth activities as approved by the Rector, Wardens, and Vestry. First to children of the parish, then to those outside the parish from the neighborhood and greater Portland area.
