Dear Parishioners,
Our Annual Holiday Craft Fair will take place on Saturday, November 14, from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. We look forward to a joyful day of fellowship, fun, and holiday cheer!
We extend a special and heartfelt thank-you to Patty Lamb, who chaired the fair for many years. We are deeply grateful for her dedication, hard work, and commitment to this beloved parish tradition. We are also pleased to welcome our new fair chairs: Colette Desjardins, Louise Clark, and Lenita Richard. We look forward to working with our parish community to continue making this event a success.
We need your help! Whether you can volunteer for a half day or a full day, every contribution is appreciated and welcomed. There are many ways to participate.
SETUP
Sunday, November 8:
After coffee hour, we will set up tables so we are ready for Friday evening.
Friday, November 13, from 4-6 pm:
We encourage fair chairs to set up as much as possible as the day of the fair can be very hectic.
Saturday, November 14:
Please arrive by 8:15 am, or earlier if you need extra time to set up your table.
BAKE TABLE:
We welcome cookies, bread, pies, brownies, candy, and other holidaytreats. Please wrap baked goods individually or package them appropriately for sale. Items should be priced and clearly marked if they contain nuts. If possible, please bring baked goods on Friday, November 13th during set up hours. Volunteers are also needed to help tend the table alongside Jan Tracy.
LUNCHEON TABLE:
This year’s luncheon menu will feature soup, sandwiches, and pasta salad.
Volunteers are needed:
-Make sandwiches beginning at 7:30 am on day of fair.
-Prepare or provide soup. Please contact Rodney Richard if you are interested in making soup.
-Help serve and tend the luncheon table.
-Help with cleaning up.
CRAFT TABLES:
Our crafters have been busy, and there will be an excellent selection of creative gift ideas.
JEWELRY TABLE:
New for this year! If you have tasteful costume jewelry that has accumulated over the years and would like to donate to the church, Ann Bay will gladly accept. Please speak with Ann if you have any questions.
GREENS TABLE:
We welcome donations for the greens table, including wreaths, swags, filled baskets, and more. Volunteers are needed to tend this table. If anyone needs boughs, please speak with Rodney.
THANKSGIVING BASKET RAFFLE:
Each year we take donations of food and paper supplies to make up a Thanksgiving Basket that will be raffled off on the day of the fair. Tickets will be available for sale beginning Sunday, October 18, through and including the day of the fair. Please see the link below to sign up to bring a food item from the list. The list of items needed will also be posted in the undercroft. Items can be brought to the undercroft between now and November 8.
FLOATERS:
Volunteers are needed to give those working at the various tables a break. This is a wonderful way to help if you cannot commit to one table.
CLEANUP:
Beginning at 3:00 pm. Included in the cleanup is setting aside items that will be available for Sunday sales, taking down the tables, packing up supplies, and tidying up the undercroft and kitchen.
Please consider sharing your time and talents! The Holiday Craft Fair is a cherished parish tradition, and it takes a village to make a success. Whether you help with setup, baking, serving, or cleanup, your contribution will be appreciated.
Please sign up by clicking on the button:
A sign-up sheet will also be available in the undercroft for those who prefer to sign up in person. (Please do only one or the other to make it easier to track volunteers.). Sign ups for everything are on the form and will also be in the undercroft.
